bin doing alot of bow river fishing this month.. sight and night fishing has bin stellar and i halfto confess ive bin hooked on pike most of the month spending a bunch of my days tossing larger streamers for toothy critters and it turns out there is a decent pike fishery in teh bow.. bin fishing the cuttuy streams aswell and doing very well on teh dries... love htem cutties! now for the bullies this upcoming month and a little more pikin! bin doing most of my fishin with the same dope cats and hope everyone had a sick month.... august should be even doper! tightlines and enjoy!

lmao amen brother.. have had teh fever for a month or so now.. broke 30 a few times so far and got numerous fish in teh mid too high 20s the bow is quite the pike fishery if u really try... just didnt wana offend a bunch of the trout purist.. but they seem too be in most slack water spots looking for a big juicy meal..... i thought i was one of them torut purists for teh longest time but i have the toothy critter crazies right now! going too land one of them over 40 soon.. seen a few and have had a few bust me off too.... gotta use the 60lb fluoro now with no mishaps or breakoffs......

good number of pikein teh bow seen em as high as bowness and bearspaw and all teh way down too carsland... ding'd a few nice ones this year and Gil i hooked one way up in teh chop this year on a golden stone.. no jokes 3 or 4 others were there... was in 4 feet of water or so way the hell out in teh chop at hullswood! never no waht the bow iwll giv eu some days!

i like a tan body with some brown mallard flank on teh side for the wings and a little mallard flank aswell for the legs and antenna... simple and deadly!! check ou teh pics i jsut posted in teh entemology and u will have a great idea were u want the wings and legs! tightliens dude!

dont own one but i have seen em.. i go tmyself a tx2 and love it.. the xdp is a nice reel for the price.. machined body lightweight good drag system.. disc i believe.. check out scierra.com for all the info... but i would recommend one forsure!

either or but... i have had fish nip at teh flies in other fishes mouth.. same with hooked cutties on teh trailing hook while fighting another one of em on teh dry or vice versa and i have seen bullies nip at the flies in other bullies mouths too... its a harsh world out there!

i doublehaul lots and almost strictly shoot line... its the easiest most efficient way i think.. i rarely false cast with more than my head out and dont false cast a ton.... its why WF lines are ment too be IMHO shooting heads!

yup sunrise sessions are teh bomb! like otehrs said it can be a gerat time too catch fish and the peace and quite cant be beat!
