  1. Does anyone know why the Spray tribs don't open until July? Just curious.
  2. Heh! You missed the bus by weeks man. I was there two weeks ago and couldn't spot one. I took my girlie to Sibbald. Her first fish ever, a cuttie on the fly. She's already casting better than me. It's funny watching people fish Lorette all day, when you can clearly see there are no fish at all.
  3. Any tie is a hard tie for me. Good point though.
  4. Too bad they don't update when they're fished out. Lorrette and McLean are probably done already. Caught a nice fat 20 incher at Sibbald Lake on Monday, didn't expect anything so large out of there. Nobody quite understood why I would put a fish back in the water.
  5. Good idea Hawgstoppah, I'll definitely try it next time I find a log jam. Way cheaper than weighting above the fly. Still, my wireworms sink fast and catch more fish than split-shot.
  6. Very helpful info on that link, Don. Thanks.
  7. Leaving the fly in is always better than ripping the trout's innards apart. It sucks when you kill a fish from hooking, but it happens. Think of all the fish you could have legally kept but released anyway, and don't worry about the few incidental kills. No one has a 100% release rate.
  8. I certainly wouldn't try myself. If you do head out, be careful. Seen some BIG debris floating by my house. River looks exactly as you would expect.
  9. Thanks for your work on the new board. Looks great!

  10. Nope, and I still haven't gotten the 12' rigged up for the new truck. I should get on that.
  11. Wow. Those are spectacular. I'm still figuring out the wireworm.
  12. Good stuff Scott. Catch anything?
  13. I've got the whole week off, so I'm going to hit the FTR and drive until I see some decent water, maybe try to find a spring creek or two. Hope everyone enjoys themselves.
  14. How does the Ridgeline cast? When it came out I thought I might grab some, but I've stuck with SA for now. I'm long overdue for a new floating line, and looking at my options.
  15. I've found that SJW's aren't as effective above the weir. (The pattern. I'm sure SJW is effective wherever he fishes the Bow.) It seems the further upstream I go, the less fish I catch on them.
  16. Good deal LK. I spent the last week of last August south on the FTR, all by myself, what a dream. You gonna head north or south?
  17. Dont suppose you'll mention WHERE you were fishing, hey? Nevemind, nice pics man. Must have been a fun day.
  18. That's why they call him the FisherKing.
  19. And I would call you in, simply to save them all for me the next day.
  20. It's the perfect location... "Hey honey, wanna go to Ikea? Just have to make one stop."
  21. One from today, but how do you top humping frogs?
  22. Nice bow man, you're gonna have to show me how it's done!
  23. Nice pics guys, especially like that brownie DutchDF! Not a landscape I guess, but verry purty. Good call on restarting this thread Fisher26.
  24. I think a bell is more important than spray. One hole I fish on the Oldman, if I walk down quietly I will almost always run right into a juvenile black bear, if I'm singing or just making a ruckus I have never seen him. So if you can't carry a tune, get a bell. You'll feel very silly and alive.
  25. Sibbald is good, they put cutts in it this year. I don't know what was hatching but they were pale, I used a big PMD it hardly hit the water before I got takes. Can't wait for the creek to open so I can fish the beaver ponds.
