The Elk if you want big wild cuthroat on dry flies and beautiful scenery. The Bow if you want big rainbows and browns using a variety of techniques and a prairie landscape. You should do both...
Agreed probably should do both.

Hopefully I don't anger the fish gods.

Taco,
A Winston when Tom Morgan ran the place. Tom is a fisherman and knew what it took for a great trout rod. Failing that, if you can find a 9'0" Fisher, I'll arm wrestle you for it. Thought I'd tracked one down 2 years ago. Somebody else beat me to it.
Or, take one of your faster 4 weights and put a 6 on it. That just might be what ya' need.
Regards,
Don
Don when you say put a six on it do you just mean the line wt? If so would it just cause the road to load up more and then feel like a softer action?

Watched the first couple minutes and have it put in the Que for later.
Thanks for sharing.

Pearl Mylar Minnows I like it, the PMM.

Holy crap those are awesome.
Neat affect/effect getting the camera lens on that picture with the long exposure.
Thanks a lot for posting, definitely what a guy needs on this cold weather.

What would you call those NoSlack?
They look great the one on the right with the silver body must look great moving through the water.

Glad to hear you found a job Lornce.
A shame about the over experience thing, I can imagine that it would be extremely frustrating to hear.

Haha that is awesome Don.

That looks pretty realistic, in my opinion.

Haha bring back this prize of a thread.

I have had these for two seasons and been pretty pleased with them:
One leak in the sock but easily patched and good to go. I have a feeling it was a result of the previous boots though and not the waders themselves.

Nice buck monger.

I don't mind losing a good hard fought game but tough to watch the one yesterday.
Apparently they are a fair weather team the cold weather must have made the ball slippery for the stamps. It didn't seem the riders had any challenges holding on to it.

Great shots, thanks for posting.
That Herron photo is amazing.
Must also have been a bit of a challenge to get that quality of photo of the hawk given the speed they can fly at.
-
Good reminder, I can only imagine the fear.
Just started 30 and feeling pretty fearless(wreckless), without cause granted.

That leech pattern looks great.

I am a big fan of that foam stimmy.

Thanks for posting.
Love the colors on the first one and the teeth on the last one.

... the fly is 14 inches or the fish you plan to catch?
-
What sort of feather/material is that on the back?
Great looking fly.

I just recently bought a used St. Croix Legend 4wt 7'6" rod. I got it pretty late in the season so didn't get the chance to use yet but I assembled it and I like the way it feels so far.
I have a Galvan torque reel on my 6wt and I imagine I will put a Galvan 4wt reel on this rod soon.
Either this: http://www.galvanflyreels.com/brookie_reels.html or http://www.galvanflyreels.com/torque_reels.html
