  1. Grizz, Really don't know what's wrong there. You can reply to my email: m.tn.side@hotmail.com thanks, Suntoucher
  2. Highwood, It's normal for Lima to be overcast as it's probably monsoon plus it's winter there right now. If you got the time, head down to Chile(via Bolivia). Or you could fly but land travel is more exciting anyways. Chile has some wicked brown trout fishing. You would swear you were in Canada!
  3. Dube, I just came back from a week down in radium. Kootenay is full on in glacial melt mode(grey colour and a lil high). Heard its best in late summer. But the smaller creeks look fine. I wouldn't fish any creeks between sinclair pass and radium either, not much holding water there. Ill post more on the Kootenay NP thread. You can get a NP license from the tourist info shop in Radium, $35.
  4. I went with the TFO 5wt Midge, has and nice drag and setup. The Trions were nice too, maybe next year! Thanks for the info Suntoucher
  5. Trailhead, Have you ever tried Cobb lake? What about any of the small streams between Radium and Dolly Varden creek? Thanks for the info
  6. I'll be headed out to Kootenay NP for a week this mid July. I'll be meeting up with my family out there (...boring!). Instead I plan to escape as much as possible to get out and do some fishing. I just wanted some feedback about streams and lakes in the area to fish in. Anybody ever fish in Cobb, Olive, Sinclair, Dog or Kaufmann lakes? And what about the streams in the area, any info? 7. Is this a local Indie film, doco or a show, fill me in?
  8. Maybe I should have mentioned this if it matters but I'll mainly use it for small creeks like Stauffer/Prairie and the biggest rivers I would use it in is like the Rams/Blackstone. Sounds like there's a lot to choose from here.
  9. Speaking of I need a new reel for a 5wt rod. I'm looking for one between $50-100 range. What brand would anyone recomened ? Suntoucher
  10. Thanks for the info people! There just a couple one inch sized holes, so they are not that bad. Where can I pick up "Aqua seal", Canadian tire, Fishin hole, etc ?
  11. I tore up my rubber waders this weekend from those dam sharp dead pine brances! Any advice on what kind of glue or patches to use to repair them? Suntoucher
  12. Speaking about the same area, I will be around there in mid july. I'll be staying in Radium hot springs. I'm looking for some nice small creeks with good numbers of fish inside Kootney N'park. Size doesn't matter. Just enough to make me escape from the family each day! Also would like to check out cobb, dogg and olive lakes... Any experience here?
  13. What about the Fiddle river on the Miette hot springs road?
  14. I think the Clearwater would be your best bet if your looking nearest of Red Deer.
  15. Speaking about renting canoes, it would probably be a lot cheaper to rent one from anywhere outside of jasper like Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, etc... For example I could rent a good canoe for a weekend for 60 bucks at Totem outdoor sports Edm and at maligne lake they rent them for 40 bucks per HOUR!!! Thought I would give you a heads up Suntoucher
  16. Well done dude! Can someone tell me what the "report a poacher" phone # ??? Thanks Suntoucher
