I don't know about a turtle, I would think a turtle would break the skin pretty easily. We had a snapping turtle in Texas and he could cut clean trough a pencil!

Thanks buddy, I guess I could've just called!

Went down yesterday and check out the new blanks, sweet. Great colors and finishes and a great assortment of weight's and lengths! Hum I think I need a new 5wt.
-
Has anyone tried running they'er C.D.C. scraps through coffee grinder or something similar? results? I'm not sure if this would work but it would save me a lot of time!

Talk about an eye for an eye, or in this case a stab for a stab!

I was in the same place as you this spring I sold all four of my rod reel combo's and after much debate and advice from fellow forum members I decided that I could fish anywhere in southern ab for trout with a 6wt and a 4wt. I was convinced that I would be happy with only two rods but less than a month later I came up with enough money for a sweet 2wt as well. Now I am done.
Done? Who are you trying to kid?

Nautilus N.V. 8/9, If you have the cash buy a high end 8wt. Then your covered for so many other 8 wt class reel trashers you might want to chase in the future!

I just use a improved clinch knot and melt the tag end to smooth everything out! if I want to change heads during the day I just re-tie a few inches here n there isn't going to affect the running line much as fast as runnig out of line when casting! it is 110ft long and by the time I use 30 of it I should probably buy a new spool anyway! never really liked how the knot/ loop went through the guides if I was stripping streamer on the bow I find the clinch is much smoother
That is a pretty good point, there's differently lot's of line to cut. Thanks for the opinions guy's!

I don't think there's any real consensus on a best way. Search speypages for "slick shooter" and there are more different suggestions than I care to count. For trout fishing I just use a surgeon's loop. Perfection loop should work ok as well, just cut it off and redo it every so often. If you're after steelhead or salmon you might want to check the speypages threads and pick the method that sounds best to you.
Thanks, it's just for a bow river switch. I want something that I can change the heads on, so I think I'm leaning more to a loop to loop.

LMAO...this is actually better than driving all over Calgary looking for something. I suppose I could pick up the phone. How about these:
what are they for, I don't think I've ever seen those.
-
What is the best why to attach your head to slick shooter? I was just thinking about using a perfection loop.
-
Lunch yes, and you provide your own flys..
Don't most guides charge you extra for flies anyhow?

Has anyone matched up the buelah switch line with the 5 ft airflo poly's?

Step 19: If all else fails, tell her your mother is coming into town on the day you want to go fishing with her... she'll come... trust me.
Too funny! But very true!

This is the coldest, wettest drought I've ever seen!
-
Ah yes, great times. But where did you manage to catch all the bait fish?
-
Oops sorry I got all excited there. Thought I could suddenly afford one of those sticks.
I think I would buy about 18 if they were going for that price hahahaaha.
-
Who has them for $140? Last time I was looking they where over the $600 mark. Where can i get one for that price.
He's talking about the line.
-
CO-OP Gold, thats just not right!
-
I sure hope it works, but to be honest I think it will be a failed attempt. I think the hydrostatic pressure will be to much for a top kill situation. But I guess they have everything at this point!

I love my Cloudveil guide 8 jacket. It has a comfortable fit, tons of pockets and it's not to hot during the rainy summer days!
However South Bow got the new guideline jacket's in and I gotta say there pretty sweet!

That seriously sucks!

Does any one know of any fish taxiderist in town? I've been looking with no luck. I found a guy in B.C. but I'm still waiting on a reply.
