How does one go about determining the age of older hardy reels? I recently picked up a St John MK2 and a St John 3 7/8. Also found a Marquis #7. Trying to determine value and age of these reels. Also if anyone knows where I could possibly send these to get a tune-up/over haul would be greatly appreciated.

I am using a nomad net. Great light weight net made of composite material. Bag is black rubber mesh. Awesome net. Also have a brodin which is a great net too.

Long story short I broke my Hydris 5wt and because they no longer make this rod they will replace it with T3. Is this a good rod or should I hold off until something better comes along.

Just my 2 cents. I bought a new hardy ultralight 7wt came with rio gold line. It was under $300 after shipping and taxes. If I remember right around $275. Beautiful reel amazing price.

I was thinking about taking up spey casting/fishing and i had a thought on practice casting.Is it illegal to practice cast on water that is closed to fishing?

cool looking video, with interesting point of view. are you using go pro hd hero or hero2? i recently pick up the hd hero and was having issues with video clarity. any suggestions? i currently am using mac iMovie for editing.any tips you could pass along would be helpful.
