  1. Just take the coconuts home and bake a cake. I'd much rather find a coconut than another shopping cart, bike or used carpet. Besides when this global warming fad kicks into high gear, we can grow our own and not have to import them anymore. Who wants cake?
  2. I suck with photoshop, but here is my though on the concept of the logo, taking a bit from what people have been saying (simple) and ides that have been posted.... would someone with some skillz to fix it.
  3. I'm a magazine addict, but my favs are Fly Fusion, total Fly Fisher (uk), Trout fisherman (UK) and the Drake. I used to get CFF, but the last year or so, I haven't been impressed by it. Seems the photography has suffered or something. The online mags like this is fly and catch are the *hit too.
  4. There are a few Canadians who tie on a commercial scale, but a lot tie for shops and don't advertise. Guys like Jeremy Davis, Al Grombacher, Jamie Webb, Damian Welsh, Darren MacEachern, Mac Warner, Lornce Lisowksi all do or have at some point tied on a commercial scale. You see it more with the Atlantic Salmon flies than the western ones. I'm sure if you were to contact any of these guys, they could give you a fair price and an above average quality fly. Take a look at the Jstockard fly market, it's all "local" joes who tie and get a bit of cash for it. piscator flies is one site I've used who tied a few custom patterns for me. They are around, they are just a little more difficult to find I suppose. These guys likely don't make a living off their flies, but supplement it. As I understand it, another reason that you don't see much in the way of local tiers is that many were unable to keep up with demand, or were simply unreliable with supply (as they had other jobs and such) and so the demand was made up from off shore. As I understand it, Africa is no longer the monopoly of bulk flies as China and Philippine also produce large numbers with Highland Flies, Raineys, Idlwylde and Montana FC.
  5. I don't think you'll find any wholesalers who sell to individuals. Most require a business registration # and have minimums you need to meet per order. Are you just looking for something in particular or trying to save some coin?
  6. It's not a gateway for everyone, but it is for lots of people. I doubt I would have tried acid or meth otherwise. It's not the pot I'm worried about, it's the coke and the meth. I'm past all that *hit now. I'm all for everything in moderation, but there are a lot of people out there who can't make those decisions for them selves. Just make it another sin tax. It's gonna happen anyway, we might as well get something positive out of it.
  7. Looks good, let us know how it fishes. I've got a slayer pattern for BS, but 20's are ****ing insane. Did you weight this?
  8. Where did it mention these people were using cells? Seriously, I find this most distasteful, and coming from a Mod to boot, no wonder this site is getting a bad rep. Would you be yucking it up if you knew who it was?
  9. Cool idea. If I could take decent snaps, I'll enter them.
  10. It what happens when you marry your sister.... If you know this Neanderthal , report him.
  11. Looks too tall to be a fox, foxes have a lower profile and I've never seen a fox that color. Color is dead on for a coyote and you can make out the tail by the legs (darker). I'd put money on it being a coyote.
  12. As I understand it, it was the grandparents watching the child, but he may have gotten up before everyone else in the morning. Something similar to the little girl in Edmonton a few years back that wandered out into their yard in freezing weather and survived.
  13. lol At least that walleye was put to good use. Thanks for the link.
