  1. I am not sure if I am attaching this video correctly, hopefully you all can view it, it is American, but it is on topic, the vid is about PHW and what it does for the participants, anywhere you have to insert Canada where it refers to the US, Ed Nicholson is the founder of PHW and I think soldiers every where should be thankful for what he has done. In Canada we have expanded the service to EMS, Police, Firefighters, and just about every Canadian that needs it..

These guys and me included don't preach we teach and that way everybody learns and feels good. Watch the video, it explains what Project Healing Waters Canada is all about.

  2. I would fly fish the Saint John River in New Brunswick at 0400- 0730 before going to work, and get lots of Strippers, Hybrid Strippers and White bass, the odd big pike, small and largemouth bass, much more action then in the day time...

  3. I cringe every time I read a title labelled about a specific creek... but most of the time they don't mention access points or things like that.

For the most part there is enough water, so there isn't a problem.

    But...

Most folks are lazy and don't want to do the work for themselves... and that's fine. Taco posts tons of creek names, but 90% of the readers here aren't going to make the effort to explore each access they can find on a map for one that produces fish bigger than 6inches. They are going to go to the spot from FFC that was shown on the Livingstone with a big fish picture, or the spot on the Oldman that produced 17in fish (which is a big trout anywhere in the world except the Bow :troutpunch: ). They will go to the easiest fishing possible.

When you have something posted online like "Frenchman's Creek at the wooden bridge is fishing hot with green drakes right now", I bet you see people out there at the next available light.

So when it comes to hotspotting... naming a launch where you started or saying you fished Oldman River tribs is fine. Telling water conditions of a river is fine.

Naming an access point, flies, etc is a little overboard, unless you are privately helping somebody out (for example I'd give some pointers to someone over beer or through a PM- but I look at their past posts first as I'd hate to have some of my quieter fishing spots out on the forums).

These guys go out Fly fishing with me all winter, Fischer more then Thor the Golden, for various reasons, they need all the fur then can grow, and by the time spring comes around, I just want to get rid of all the fur they sheds, worse then a yak I think..

  7. BULLSH!T there is lots that should be quiet on this BB , and I am not one of them..

Pigsaw who the hell made you an authority?

There is enough pseudo authorities on this BB that it does not need one more!

    My usage of X1

is correct.. and if it offends you or someone you have a crush on then too damn bad..

Spring is here,it has been a long winter.. if you need proof, then just look over who is missing on this BB, and the direction the topics have gone.

I am done posting until next winter, or longer.. that should make a few of you happy, least I could do, seeing as you have amused, me some what over this winter..

I know fully that I have instigated some of the poo that is on here.. if that has lowered anybodies opinion of me then sorry for that..

See you all next winter sometime around January..

If you are coming down this was clean your damn waders if you are heading in to the hills ....

You should be quiet now flyfishfairwx, you are making yourself look dumb and dimmer with every post...

  8. Any time I come in contact with Diddiemoe I clean, which is usually on the lower Crow and OMR..

I have seen, not fished the Bow, but have seen the diddy on that river and wondered how many Bow River Fishers go to clean mountain streams and wade right in.

So by your standards RickR you would rather fish that extra time for the time being until the river sys becomes overwhelmed and then go someplace else, is that about right?

I washed my boots today and it took 15minutes of actual wash time, and then a soak time of 40 minutes and now they are drying..

I'll give the answer that most will give if they are honest. Never. Nor will I. Call it lazy, call it irresponsible, call it whatever. Life is too busy to wash waders and boots.

And if you are truly worried about this, ask the exact same question about the Crow.

  9. How many of you Bow river Bumblers clean your gear after coming of that sewage flow and hit the mountain streams ?

Gear explained for some - felts, boots, waders, tailing gloves, lines, flies, sneakers, jeans etc...

Before you ask - yes I do every forking time!!!!

  10.

For your education but probably not retention, it is X1 as I am agreeing with what smitty wrote..

the concept requires larger then one syllable words so I will not try to explain it further, to you

Should be Tungsten - always wrong again and as always #2 .. I wish there were an Emoticon for - mental midget !!

You should be a little more descriptive so some of the other members can understand it.

Also i think its X 2 since its been said once already.

    Tungsten- always willing to help.

  11. Completely disagree with your approach Jayhad. Did you pm the admins to find out why first before posting your rant? If so, then accept their reasons or not or compromise or try work it out first. Since you did not mention whether you had done the pm'ing first, I am assuming you did not give them the benefit of your doubt. Correct me if I am wrong.

So if you didn't pm them first before going public, I definitely have no sympathy for you.

Frankly, its a post like yours that dilute the quality of the forum. Mods/Admins have a thankless job, and we should appreciate what they do.

Bottom line is always address your concerns about the way the forum is run privately first before ranting about it.

  12. Long winter ehh TACO?

    a 2fer;

A Cambodian, a Japanese, a Korean, a Chinese, a Burmese, a Philippine, a Vietnamese, a Malaysian, and an Indonesian walked into a bar; but the bartender stopped them.

"I'm sorry," he told them, "but I can't let you in without a Thai!"

    =============================================

A surgeon went to check on his patient, an attractive blonde, after an operation. She was awake, so he examined her.

    "You'll be fine," he said.

"How long will it be before I can have a normal sex life again, doctor?", she asked.

The surgeon seemed to pause, which alarmed the young woman.

"What's the matter, doctor?" she asked. "I will be alright?"

"Yes," replied the doctor, "you'll be fine. It's just that no one has ever asked me that after having their tonsils removed."
