  1. I have read that the most North American truck manufactured is a Toyota Tundra.......... Just sayin!

San Antonio, Texas as a matter of fact!!

they are everywhere in Texas, was in Dallas for the Rolling Stones show, and had a great chuckle over the fact there where more Toyota Pick Up Trucks in the AT&T stadium parking lot, than Ford, Chevy or Dodge..

  2. so I got my hardwood floor installed and now the tiler is in tiling the other areas.

since we are not doing a transition strip from hardwood to tile, the tiler noticed that one end piece has a few chips on the side so I need to cut a new board of hardwood to replace that one.

none of my friends have a table saw so its looking like im gonna have to rent one from home depot. seems like a waste to rent one for 4 hours at whatever outrageous cost it is for literally one rip cut.

anyone have a table saw I can use for literally 30 seconds tonight? we can share fly fishing stories and im willing to invite you on a drift not this weekend possibly next.

    thanks

I get home after six pm, and live in the south east.

    pm me for directions

  3. Alright folks, I know I have not been on here much in the last couple of years, but have a small favour to ask, if anybody is in contact with Cuttbow, Brent Petiquin , then please let him know, I am looking for him, to reconnect and get fly fishing,

Okkkk , looks like the board is alive and well, not much has changed, thats ok, trick is lots has changed for me, I now live in calgary, no longer have a wife, and still love fly fishing even more if that is possible. Still don't like hotspotting and still have not fly fished the Bow, I am going too, I may then become a convert to larger rivers remains to be seen, hope to catch up with some of you on the stream or river...

  4. I thought you just fed the bears Brookies and not Pepper?????

You really should not use the holder for bear spray for your BEER!!

If you wade wet, carry your pepper spray in a front pants pocket like I do and happen to take a dozy of a fartknocker into the river and knock the top off a large of can bear repellant please be advised, you are in for some discomfort. Damn stuff doesn't wash off in cold water.. just temporary relief at best.

OH! and when you finally make it home to have a shower.... keep switchin' facecloths...damn stuff has at least a 24 hr half-life.... and put your wetwading stuff through the heavy duty wash cycle twice.

I now have to get my ass to MEC to buy a large can of Frontiersmen

  5. Why hide your face here but not on other boards or FB ??? Only asking out of curiosity?

Headed out to the frigid waters on friday with Jeremie and Schutzy16

Day one was a mess with only small cutts. After a day of bellyboating and hiking Jake missed a very nice cut/bow all we could see was the huge jumps and the bend in the rod. I landed the first one of the day then jeremie caught another 2 and I caught one at the end of the day but all small with nothing of size.

Day two was unreal...The smallest fish was around 15-16" and was very productive till around noon then picked up again around dusk with the bulls and suckers being caught. 2 Bulls in a row and 2 suckers in a row.

Jake knocked off another species and they both got an ugly sucker. We all got some nice cutts and watched the cutts try and spawn but the cruisers definitely kept us waiting there. I had a long fight with a big bully on 5x and went well into my backing going straight for the depths. Jeremie on the net and Jake on the cam it worked out awesome with some good pics!

Day three was another let down with only small cutts being caught by Jeremie and Jake and I got skunked. We hit the bow afterwards and the water was high and green with the goldens hatching today and yesterday. Spotted one rise tight to the grass but that was about it.

All in all a decent trip but it wouldnt have been better if the rainbow was landed...Here is some pics

    Enjoy

I never figured you for a Sexyloops reader.. good on yeah!!

This will effect/affect all fly fishers and even them hardware types.. time we start letting the Capital G Government know not to mess with what makes Canada such a great place to live....

A call to action: Ray Fairweather, Chinook Fly Fishing Club, Lethbridge, urges all fly fishers to take action in response to the proposed changes to the fisheries act in omnibus Bill C-38.

I am not normally a Political Hippy unless something that is at the core of my Hippyness is being threatened, and I am pretty sure you all know what core I am talking about, well if you are guessing then here it is FLYFISHING. This time is it not climate change or any natural attack, this is pure man made Bullshit. So here it is.

The Harper government in Canada is changing the legislation to eliminate the protection of fish habitat and really all the fisheries in Canada. Instead, the government is planning to offer token protection only for commercial, recreational, and aboriginal fisheries, while cutting federal environmental reviews and fisheries reviews of the impacts of projects. This draconian change will set environmental laws back by decades.

Right now the government does not know where the recreational fisheries are, nor do they know that sportfish eat other fish, so other "lesser" fish have to be protected also. They also don't understand that to remain productive a fishery needs clean good quality water, fish need access to quality habitat, and they need to be able to migrate to overwintering and spawning areas. To protect a fishery, the habitat must be protected - each puzzle piece is as important as the next, and if you remove one, you seriously limit the capacity of the system, or cause a catastrophic collapse.

There is are many articles about the proposed changes:

    Edmonton Jounal article

    Winnipeg Article

    Globe and Mail Article

    DFO Info Release

So in that regard, I have a task for you all...
