  1. one little box but it has 4 sections to it and i have a tackle tamer thingy that can hold 12 3-fly rigs already tied up (same idea as a dropper holder)most days i don't even open my fly box and only having to tie one knot to attach a complete rig which is good when it's cold I'll add that i pretty much only nymph i have a cpl Griffiths Gnats and 6 or 8 streamers with me but the rest is nymphs,I'm sure when dries and hoppers start on i'll throw in a cpl more boxes
  2. Can it be bought locally?

  7. a lot of guys that fish Fish Creek will know the retired Asian fellow that always fishes down there..i don't think i've ever seen him cast further then 30 feet (has anyone?) and he catch's more fish than anyone i've ever seen... he told me he caught 1037 in 2008,no indicator, regular leader and same three bugs, this isn't a big secret ...he always tells me not to use an indie... and when fishing up or down from him he's usually pretty busy and never hucking bugs more than 30' tops at 1037 in a year would be an average of 86 fish a month...i'm positive i could try and copy his style of fishing and not do near as well,so i don't bother and do my own thing and do about half as well (at best) he's great to share the river with everyone is so fascinated with distance.. yup,i'm the same way, fishing from shore i have to hit the middle and fishing from the middle i have to hit the shore...weird isn't it,but 90% of my fish are caught in close (20-40') but that could be from being consistant at a certain reach, wether that's 20' or 80' depends on the person
  8. any numbers for average fish size of the wilds? what kinda of set-up were you fishing? niiiice fishes and BC highstick nymphing....should i even bother to google that?
  9. thanks guys... so how long ago since they made a bobbin like this? i like the history behind stuff like this, the old technology is as interesting as the new stuff sometimes...not saying i'd go back in time as far as wetting lines but it has it value in many ways all the same i also have a 9' bamboo that my uncle hand made for me about 25+ years ago that was paired with a old as dirt Hardy Marquis #7....sadly they both need some work as a life of being strapped to the back of a dirtbike didn't do them any good.... i can remember some of those days plain as yesterday, prbly had a few flies of a cpl patterns, like a royal coachman and a dark montreal (comes to mind).... i had no clue what i was doin but i know fish were involved,so i guess not much has changed, lol
  10. wholesale sports still had some left last night
  11. ^ hawg what kind of 10' 6wt are you using...is it a switch? 6 wts TFO 12'6 & TFO 9'
  12. leather interior?
  13. lol@rickr heyyy rickr,i guess it would depend if your wife is a single hand rod type of lady or double hand... seems some of us might have the 6" to spare......others maybe not
  14. what about having a second tip section with 6" cut off....would this make the set-up faster action? making one rod a more versatile tool?
  15. lol,ya i use fins, outcast fins not the scuba fins like you mentioned....i was more curious if the scuba fins were better than the outcast fins
