anyone know where to get American Angler in town?
My favorites are Total Flyfisher and "Flyfishing and Flytying" both are from Europe and can be found in smoke shops. I like them because you don't have to "flip to page 77" to finish an article, you just turn the page.
Here is a link to the new Transcend Ski Goggles. They do everything - Featuring an integrated heads up display that can be used to show "speed, altitude, time, temperature and GPS coordinates!

Now all we need is water depth, temp, and x-ray vision!

Hi. Does anyone have a source for a printable map of the bow river? My wife wants to know where I am headed when I go fishing and I thought it would be easier if I could just point out a couple of spots. I tried google earth, but it doesn't print well.
any thoughts?
thanks
thanks guys. I was looking more on the lines of what type of scale to buy. Anyone bother to sort their boxes by weight or am I just overthinking?
thanks
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to weigh their flies? I have heard of sorting your flybox by grains, but I wasn't sure how people go about doing that?
any thoughts?
thanks
Has anyone got any old copies of FlyFishing and FlyTying (uk mag) lying around that they don't want anymore? I have just read one and I would like to read some back issues. I am not willing to pay the shipping costs overseas for a new subscription (more that $100 a year!)
thanks
Hi guys, getting along not too bad with fly fishing but, I always seem to have a couple of questions nobody can answer. Maybe because they are opinion questions:
1. Greasing the leader. How do I do this? Do I do all of it or leave the last foot before the fly ungreased? How do you do it? (also do you grease your flyline?)
2. upstream fishing with nymphs - do I want the nymphs pulling the indicator or the indicator downstream of the flies?
3. where should the knot be on a dry fly? on top or below the eye?
4. upstream fishing with nymphs again - are you casting the fly to a spot or casting your indicator (hoping the indicator pulls it in line)
that's all for now.. I'm kind of a "details" guy, so these questions bother me!
if you can help thanks!
