  1. If ffc gets shut down.... then what the hell am i going to do at work. Twiddle my thumbs... apparently rubber band fights are a no go. Seriously though, I got into fly fishing at the beggining of this year and have picked up and insane amount of information from alot of you on this site. If i throw up a post it is usually answered in no time ( That's the others wasting time at work) and usually very helpfull. Seeing the photos of some of the nicest fish blows my mind and usually gives me a topic to sit and day dream on for a while. As for the heated topics.... i think they are funny. BUT, If they are the cause of this site shutting down... it would be a sad day in my books.

Basically.... i need this to get through working a dental lab looking at models of teeth!

  2. I cant really think of any disadvantages, as headscan said overhead casting would be a little more difficult.... but i cant see it being much harder. More reach and longer casts is a definite advantage on a river the size of the bow.... Im still a beginner but that is what i think. I wish i had picked up a larger rod in both weight and length to fish the bow ( 9 ft 6 wt) but the bank account is almost bust with all the gear i have bought already.

  3. If a large bull was to be caught while trying to spawn or on its way to the spawning area, would this deter him/her from continuing up stream? Would a female not dig redds if she was fighting against a rod prior? All these bullies look like monsters you could tackle with baseball bat... i wouldnt think catching and releasing, if taking all precautions, would be more then a small annoyance in there day?

  4. The muskoka lake trip was indeed crazy mad cottage country. Seems like everyone has a boat and there dogs too! They muskoka pics are of a few smallies right off the dock with a childrens spin rod, kind of a joke. Was more of a beer week than a fishing week.
