    Well this thread is all greek to me...... anybody know how one would begin to learn how the stock market works? But no dummies guide to investing...... I feel anyone who markets to self proclaimed dummies can't be legit....... Maybe I should just not bother learning and just send my money to weedy.......yeah that sounds best. Weedy both my pennies will be coming in the mail as soon as I can save up enough for a stamp.

    Snow at Sunshine as I write.

    Can't wait ti try my new skis which arrived at the shop last week ....... Volkl Gotama's now added to my quiver which includes Volkl Mantra and a couple pairs of Nordica's

     

    Full wood core right? I picked up a pair of the new Armada jp vs juliens..... point em down and go!

    Barbless Hooks

    Most of Tiemco's hooks are now available in barbless. They are indicated by "BL" appended to the usual hook number (e.g. TMC100BL, TMC2457BL, TMC2487BL, TMC200RBL etc.). I'm not sure if the Calgary shops are stocking them instead of the corresponding barbed hooks, but it makes sense that they should. Terry

     

    That would be good, i clipped a barb on a bugger last night but it still had a little bump that was enough to make it a tug-o-war with the back of my hand.

    I want to get into fly tying and plan on buying a vise and all the materials for the winter months. My question is... Do you guys ever meet and have fly tying clinics or just meet for the trades?

    I think im gunna make a trip to oldman livingstone this weekend... see if i can find a few down there. Above or below the gap? What about bullies in the k lakes.... can they be fished from shore easily. Same big streamer patterns? sinking line?

    Ive been to the high wood a lot and only had a tug from a big guy... no small ones. The most luck ive had was on the sheep between Turner valley and Black diamond and they were small the biggest at 16" maybe. When i go fishing i usually work upstream with dry's and then on my way back down i jump between pools or what i think could be bull water with double bunnies, leeches, or medussa flesh flie which ive had the most luck on. I dont fish with a sinking line... Thinking that may some help? Controlling where the streamer is seems difficult in the deeper pools. I think all the bulls that ive caught have been dead drifting.
