  1. Out with bhurt the other day and hooked a bow quite a ways out and it just took off. The first time ive actually had my fingers burnt! The way this thing pulled i thought i was for srue on a two footer, but when i got it in close is was maybe just over 20. Love the jumps and runs the bows make, but nothing beats a mean ass lookin brown!

  2. The only expierience i have with guides on the bow is a walk and wade with Max. Simply put, if your not catching... you will be catching by the end o the day. Yeah you might catch a few fish, but you'll gain knowledge and have a better understanding of the river.

  3. Clarity was a little better... got a few decent fish on caddis and big black stone.

Took a size 16 black midge and gave me a hell of a fight... straight into shore straight out and upstream. Just barely had her the whole time...

    Net measured around twenty six!

Gord netted for me and we both had a good case of the shakes!

  4. Always used to stress about bears, especially when fishing alone. Id be singing and yellin every once in a while or would stop and get that feeling that for sure something was watching me. Its a good idea to have a spray or banger but ive always been a little skeptical because if that bear really wants ya, your done. My real fright came one day on the highwood after fishing a few spots and heading back up to the car and seeing my muddy boot tracks and cat paws heading in the same direction. :o

  5. Ive used the Hennessy expedition hammock. get em at MEC

They are good stuff, but there is no way id be in there if it was around -10c. The problem with the hammocks is they allow easy air flow all around your body, as your obivously off the ground. Benefits would be that they set up in a matter of minutes and there is nothing as cool as staring at stars from your hanging bed in the summer time out camping. To keep em warmer you can throw in a camping air mattress in the bottom...

You should look into getting yourself a single man tent...
