  10. carseland pro. park, 45 min from calgary 22$ a night, walk from campsite to river but you will have to bring a flyrod as fish down there won't bite on anything but flys oh and stick man closes at 6pm in town so you'll have to bring wood for friday anyway
  11. im no pro ,but at this time of year i use a caddis and a squirrel about two feet apart and fish it in shallow water.dont worry about your top fly going under on the swing, fish will nail it on the swing to.the nymph usally has a beadhead but it doesnt have too.make sure your hopper will hold up your nymph.again im no pro ,hope this helps.oh you may want to where gloves when tying on a squirrel
  12. ive put my waders and socks in the washing machine ,i know it says hand wash only .i wash on gental cycle no problem been doing it for years.
  13. i cant find anything ,ive only seen signs on hwy's that say no fishing from bridge.
  14. two weeks ago i was standing in the same spot as pic#1,hooked one that went straight up stream along the bank before the hook came out .thought for sure it was something big .
  15. i've been playing with that idea also ,should you go with one wheel say attached to the motor mount ,or two wheels ,one on the back end of each pontoon strapped on .you could push it like a wheel barrel,it sur would make it easyer to get all your stuff (electric motor ,battery, anchor ,cooler)to the lake in one trip
  16. how about a holdem tourney ,50$ each all moneys to goto stream watch ,we could all bull *hit about fishing while we play ,winner gets a flyrod or something .or maybe a one day tourney at lake newell 50 boats max ,largest pike wins , a large lake like newell could handle it ,fly fish only of course.
  17. luckly we also had a pontoon with us .
  18. thanks SJW i downloaded image resizer, quick and easy know
  19. ah i thought you put the anchor out
  20. somehow igot this to work ,f bomb cant remember what i did
  21. why not as long as you follow bc regs .i would love to enter .that would be something if a flyguy won
  22. great idea ,keep it at 50$ per entry and you will have alot of interest.more people =more fun .as far as teams go they should be drawn out of a hat.you could try to have 1 pro ,1 int. and one beginner per team .pending how many people join up.boats or no boats it would be a great weekend for a great cause..
  23. i drive a 6 liter gmc ,and pull 4000lbs and get about350 kms on 90 liters ,hills are no problem .hey rickr thats 15mpg as long as you dont touch the gas pedal
  24. drift boats float so much slower than a pontoon and easy to row .ad to that dry storage ,room for three, no fear of getting a hole in it .also depends on where you are going to fish ,i agree that the pontoon is very light easy to load unload dont even need a boat launch, easy storage .if you add an electric motor to the pontoon would make rowing easyer .if your fishing bow all the time then drift boat .spend the money 3-4 years from now you will be glad you did .if you fish other streams ,lakes where accsess is limited then the pontoon is a great choice .or you could buy a drift boat and each buy your own pontoon .i think you might be able to rent something like that pontoon and try it out.my .02 happy shopping ...
