Hi all,watching SFOTF noticed brian chan has a large wooden fly box ,was thinking of building my self one .Any suggestions or tips?

how about jstu mannin up and letting your hands get use too it.. i freakin hate gloves.. have used em form time too time but found that i would rather fish without em..... first few freezes suck but my hands toughen up and its all good for the rest of the season...... iced up rods are apart of the game.. after all its freakin winter
Reminds me of my grandpa,could sit all day over a hole on Newell in febuary and never put on gloves .

Well its too bad you don't know a chemical engineer who could whip something non toxic up for us .If someone has any suggestions to keep ice forming on your rod I'd like to hear them. The commercial products don't work very well....

You can use those reusable heat pads ,put them around your wrist .Tighten your coats wrist straps to hold them there,warms the blood going to your fingers .

Great report ,i think i did hear that WoooHHoooooo.I like that pic of the morning fog,it gives you a sence of what its like to stand next to stream with 32" reel breaking bows in it .Will have to make it out there one of these days .

You would think that a bow lbs or bigger wouldn't fight that good and tire out quickly,but maybe because of the trip thing they are stronger .One can only hope we see some half that size in Alberta and BC on a regular basis

Trying to find the game tonight in HD ,last year on shaw there was channel 289 or something like that. I noticed its all changed, looks like all PPV .Anybody know?Watching the game on peasant vision(ch27)just doesnt doit for me .
