  1. i've been playing with that idea also ,should you go with one wheel say attached to the motor mount ,or two wheels ,one on the back end of each pontoon strapped on .you could push it like a wheel barrel,it sur would make it easyer to get all your stuff (electric motor ,battery, anchor ,cooler)to the lake in one trip

  2. drift boats float so much slower than a pontoon and easy to row .ad to that dry storage ,room for three, no fear of getting a hole in it .also depends on where you are going to fish ,i agree that the pontoon is very light easy to load unload dont even need a boat launch, easy storage .if you add an electric motor to the pontoon would make rowing easyer .if your fishing bow all the time then drift boat .spend the money 3-4 years from now you will be glad you did .if you fish other streams ,lakes where accsess is limited then the pontoon is a great choice .or you could buy a drift boat and each buy your own pontoon .i think you might be able to rent something like that pontoon and try it out.my .02 happy shopping ...

  3. if you use the rowly type tou should have a swivel before your flies with heaver line so when you break off you dont loose your indy ,it should break on the fly side of swivel.ive lost a few too but not since ive put on a swivel

  4. august is always busy on the river you just have to plan ahead ,way back, when i owned a drift boat and it got busy we would stay in the middle of the river and float the speed of the river no rowing to slow down and we would catch lots of fish .like missin the bow says theres no way to police any rules ,time and effort better spent other ways .if you dont like to drive on deerfoot than dont drive on deerfoot my .02.

  5. glad you where able to hookup darrin ,kinda lucky you landed your first bow river bow ,on a wire worm, and a effed up reel and that fish still pulled out line .the stars where alined for you on your fisrt trip.

  6. I'll try the snorkle some time, cuz there is a big eddie down stream that it might have gone into..I'll let you know what I find whether its Browns or a Rod..more will be revealled!..Thanks allot for the ideas

i was in that area tonight tryed draging a big streamer on the bottom all i got was weeds ,will keep trying ....

  7. It was knocked out of the Rod holder on the side of my boat..any assistance would be appreciated..thanks

the reason i asked was if it was snaged on bottom and your brake wasnt set to loose it may just hang ther in the current or close to bottom ,and we could try to snag it . if it just fell out of the boat with no line out ,well it dosent look good ,its eather swerling around at carseland weir or in bassano res. by know .where was it lost?

  8. Hello, I am sad to say that I had a rod go overboard into the Bow river abyss on Sunday 13th of July...sigh..The rod wasn't

great however the reel was of value...it was a Abu Garcia 6w and Lamson (I think) reel w/ green sink tip line. So if anyone dredgs one up

    please drop me a line..

    Thanks

how did it happen ? snag, fish.where? i might key word (might) be able to help you.....

  9. to avoid trouble with land owners camp on islands . as far as beer goes ,was checked by co years ago in drift boat he looked in our cooler for fish , we had at least a dozen beer in there he didnt say anything .but that was then . he was more concerned about life jackets and if we kept any fish.
