I love the W30, best cam I ever owned..another fry, Atlantic Salmon.
  2. Nasty, Ive stumbled across lots of dead animals beavers,dogs,cats..but that deer would take the cake...I just don;t want to find a body is all...i really really don;t...
  3. LOTS of people get in trouble in that back channel across from the Lodge (and lots of other places), yours truly included, I had a noob on the oars last season (river wasn't even high..August i believe) and i was busy untangling before i knew what was going one we were under a sweeper and nearly drowned, waders full the whole nine yards..scarey...if you want to fish the back channels, walk in is my advice, always wear a PFD and ... NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE BOW...the weirs are an obvious danger but to say they are the only hazard could'nt be further from the truth no matter what the water level..I floated the lower Bow some 50 + times before it happed to me...but I was complaceant and let a rookie row..he "floated" the Bow lots..through downtown with a six pack is a totally different story....becareful out there... Conor : I'll be back from the east coast on the 16th I'll float down with you on the 18-19 if you want to show you the ropes..
  4. very unfortunate to result in such an ending, I feel for you cause I know I would have done no different..(lucky if he never ended up as bait)..goes to show, some people are clueless when it comes to alot of things..good show Dr.B
  5. Great thread Bob..I'f I'm alone, i simply mudder a "he's gone"..If fishing with friends somtimes I'll give a classic Charlie Brown .. AHHHGGG! It's all part of the game, I grew up fishing Atlantics and learned at a very young age that hooking the fish is the challenge landing him is just a bonus...Ive never regret anything when fishing, except maybe not going...
  6. I'll take one off yer hands there Max, straight up trade for a bottle of 100% Muskol..one man don;t need all those reels
  7. 'bout 50 shots later, got it..no big fish pics for me this weekend..but this was just as challenging...pretty shy with young in the nest..those holes must be pretty big in there too..
  8. If I was a trout..I'd be in trouble..very nice
  9. Pflueger Trion, I own 2, both trouble free for 3 seasons now. would buy another if I needed it. Right now I fish a TFO 7wt 4 piece TiCr and a Sage Z-Axis 5wt 2 piece .. love them both .. I also believe the Martin Stillwater or Millcreek are great rods for the price +/- $80 no warrenty but very nice action...
  10. I dunno if it will give you the look your after, but Ive tried heat shrink (used in electrical applications) over the hook sealed on both ends to trap a small pocket of air around the hook, It's tough to work with but may give you the effect you need...Ive used it mostly for beatle/hopper bodies...
  11. wow..such tension..Stauffer is an incredible creek and would be a shame to loose it..I applaude Don for all his efforts regarding Stauffer and everything else he has done for us..

Confluence : The joining together of two or more streams, In this case and most on this forum it refers to the Bow / Highwood confluence.
  14. I'm not opposed to a hike to southforks, my plate is a little full right now with a trip back east for salmon and some other stuff when i get back. It'd have to be mid august for me.../
  15. LMAO...thats funny
  16. I looked into it, Michelle lake = 249.00 per person Coral 349.00 per person both based on 3 person party..ANY gear you wish to pack will cost you an extra $2.00/lb .. you get no baggage included in the fee so even your fishing/camping gear will cost you huge dollers, don't think I will be taking this trip unless the 649 hits..
  17. 2.5 years smoke, er....tobacco free.. it's tough buddy I tried several times before I got it..It's the best thing you can do for yourself..hang in there, you'll be amazed in a couple months at how far you can walk without panting like a dog and at how great that Timmy's tastes...good on ya...
  18. beautiful pic Clive...
  19. Hydro development is'nt bad, K lakes is just a bad place for it has a good vertical drop but not the flows needed..its retarded to have it where it is to rely on mountain run off to power it with a small reservoir..but because of hydro we have the lakes, the bow the way it is today, and many other great waters...
  20. you should tie up a big brown and gold streamer call it the Tim Horton, tie it on a double hook with a double trailer and you got a Tim Horton double double.
  21. Jeez for a man of your stature 35 fish in a career is'nt alot , being an old school wet swinger those feathery flies are my fav..nice work
  22. Ahhhh.... no .. bring it up to Springbrook..(off blackfoot, behind Frank Sissons sort of) and they will replace it on the spot $25.00 + gst per section...done it a few times now...the dog may bark at you... Buddy must work for Fenwick or something...
  23. Congrats!!!!may your new found equipage bring you many tight lines..
  24. Try out around Seebe dam, above and below, it has some decent access that won't require waders, Below ghost dam has easy access..of course i have no Idea what the flows are like out there , depending on how new you are, and your just looking for a place to cast, fish creek would be your best bet i think, here's lots of room and good opportunity to hook into a gooder...or anywhere in the city for that matter..you don;t need to leave the city for fish..
  25. sick cutty Brad...!!!
