Tungsten Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Hi all, watching SFOTF noticed brian chan has a large wooden fly box ,was thinking of building my self one .Any suggestions or tips? Quote
TerryH Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 It's been on my to-do list for about 20 years, but I still haven't got around to it. I bought a set of large ripple foam boat box replacement sheets for the purpose. I think they are still available at some of the shops in Calgary, and would certainly simplify the process. Tungsten Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks terry ,not sure if the barbless hooks will stay in .The slotted kind should work ,still looking for hinges for the middle page .Thinking about using baltic berch plywood ,very stable just need lots of coats of finish. Quote
Lundvike Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I fully intend to build my own boxes once I have somewhere to set up a work shop. Once I get a garage, but that might not be till my kids move out and the first is 14 months today and the next isn't even cooking yet. I would love to see what you come up with. I suggest starting at Lee Valley. Quote
