flytyer101 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Hi Everyone, My name is Terrance and i started fly tying and fly fishing when i was 12 so ive been doing it for about 2 years and im really starting to enjoy the sport. Ive been trying to find some good place to catchs some brown trout. Ive fished the bow and old man and have had some luck. I saw lorney's pictures of the nice fall browns from a unkown stock lake with a day limit of 5 and he game me some links to do some research. And i think i narrowed it down to 3 lakes: Beuvais, Obed and Mitchell Lake. Can anyone help me out. And also does anyone else know where i could try. Thanks to anyone that can give me some feeback. http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=6619&st=0&p=64880entry64880 Quote

SanJuanWorm Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Obed I heard is very difficult to catch fish on. There is also Barrier lake in Kananaskis country. Quote
Brookie Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Swan Lake in the Rocky Mtn. House area has brown trout. I think. Quote
wtforward Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Another great resource is Barry Mitchell's fishing guide. See what the guide has to say about your inclinations. Quote
