bulltrout Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 just for laughs...what would your CB handle be if you were a trucker? Quote
hydropsyche Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 The Bandit. I know what you're thinking but it was me they made the movie after. I was a little crazy in my youth. Quote
hydropsyche Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Not many people know that the real life Snowman was actually Ben Stickler, aka "Tailgate". His handle wasn't derived from what you think. Everyone thought I had a way with the ladies. Not compared to "Tailgate". Quote
Hawgstoppah Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 I go on the road as FlyGuy... lol Quote

Hawgstoppah Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Ya I kinda go by Hawgstoppah now too on the road.... people are like WTF does that mean and I gotta explain it to them.. I go fishin, I catch hawgs, therefore I am the hawgstoppah. Quote
flyangler Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I think some people are confusing trucker name with porn name! My mom had a CB in the car, she was "Momma Doe". We were drivin me back to college one January in crappy weather. I started fishtailing on the way up a huge hill with deep ravines on either side and a voice crackeled out of the CB "hang on there little 4 wheeler!" The trucker behind us probably knew that if I spun out in front of him we might all go over the side. I still think of it as the voice of an angel looking out for me, encouraging me to be strong. Fortunately, our exit was not too far away, because the Highway Patrol closed the interstate right behind us. So you can call me "Little 4". Quote
lonefisher Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 I'll be "Dredge Rivers" or "Double Hauler" Quote
Pipestoneflyguy Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Officially I am LIMA 72 as a call sign (boring) On CB I am still stuck with "Cob" which comes from a game my friends, my brother and I played (I invented incidentally - hence the knick-name) when we were teenagers (/ idiots) - out on country roads were we lived and worked we would take turns riding in the back of our pick-up tied in on about a foot or two long leash tied to the headache rack - we would pick a about twenty cobs of corn and the goal for the person tied in the back was to try and hit each stop sign we went through the stop sign with a cob, meanwhile the driver had to speed/jump/serve to try and knock the rider off balance preventing them from hitting the sign. Once hitting the sign the thrower became the passenger, passenger became driver and driver went in the box. For you rural folks... you know that the lessor road (aka the one with the stop sign is typically at a lower elevation then the busier road so generally punching these signs would get you a foot or two of air time. Geez it was fun at the time but you look back know I'm in my 40's and ya gotta wonder just how I made it to this age alive LOL. To this day when I go home everyone still calls me cob.... Quote
