SanJuanWorm Posted June 20, 2007 Author Posted June 20, 2007 Nope just pure Manitoba beefcake baby. Quote
SteveM Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Looks like a great trip, SJW.Good to see your mojo transcends borders-you can harass & annoy fish in other countries, take some of the heat off Alberta's finned citizens! Good on ya, mang! Quote
Glenbow Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 How did you catch fish without a timmy's in one hand? Isn't that how it's done? Wait a tick..........you brought a thermos, didn't you? Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 How did you catch fish without a timmy's in one hand? Isn't that how it's done? Wait a tick..........you brought a thermos, didn't you? Sometimes I can catch fish outta shear luck ya know. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 I do make it look good though. I think its the glasses. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 Please don't try this technique without proper training. I beg you all. Its not safe. In fact I may have to hold a Tim Horton Nymphing Technique seminar. Tickets are 300 bucks. Note a new FFC term .......THNT. Quote
Lawrence Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I heard of one guy (unskilled) tryin the timmies technique and its was a complete disaster..... 2 dead and 3 injured! Quote
Glenbow Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I love it! Dave, you make our sport look good, I think the shades just complete the whole look. You definitely need to hold the THNT seminar. I will definitely attend. You should send that pic to Islander to see it they wanna use that as a promo shot. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 See this is damn near perfect form. The key to this technique is you have to be UBER hung over. Any day during stampede would suffice im sure. Quote
LynnF Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Like yer reel in those pics Dave....is that your Islander? I was in WSS last night and have my eye on one that I'm hoping Santa will bring me for my birthday. They're pretty slick. Quote
Pipestoneflyguy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Nice pics SJW Your consistency never fails to impress That timmies pic is all that is Zen Quote
birchy Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I know I'm only in my first year, but I think I'm going to take the ultimate challenge and try to master the THNT before year end! Quote
SteveM Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 American trout are way too sophisticated for the THNT; you hold a $10 Starbucks cranberry-smoked salmon frappuccino or you get skunked, and laffed at! Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 Lynn, Yes that is my LX Islander. I also have a IR-4 islander too. Both set up for 6wt. I love em. Pricey but who better to spend my hard earned money on well...than me? Note the broken hook point on this caddis nymph. It was funny Maxwell/Dave story involving a 22 inch brown. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 More post hogging fish porn. Here is the fish I landed on that broken hook. I owe it all to the fine folks at Islander or DO I? Oh yah and my right arm in the pic is bigger than my left arm due to the THNT. Quote
LynnF Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 That makes me wanna go shopping now....I might not wait for Santa. Quote
Lawrence Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Oh yah and my right arm in the pic is bigger than my left arm due to the THNT. Suuuuurre it is! All talking about fish "Porn" Quote
Glenbow Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Are you wearing your waders in that last shot 'cause you were so uber hung-over that you might have fallen in the river? Also, do you ever alternate the Timmmies hand to keep a balanced physique? You don't have to answer these questions if you are saving this info for the seminar. Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 NO......................ALWAYS WITH THE LEFT HAND................ALWAYS. You see this is why this technique should never be attempted by an amateur. Please folks be safe and get the proper training. Quote
maxwell Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 first 3 too sign up, 2 XL triple triples too pay for the tuition and ur in.....lmao jj yall shoudl have seen daves bully slammin technique a few years back.....SKILLS YALL SKILLZ Quote

reevesr1 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Rick u know where I can order this? Kiddin buddy. SJW, Been busy with work. Wish I had seen this more real time for the gut laugh I got out of it! Seriously though, I have some relatives in the Mortuary business. I think they have some, might be some bullet holes in 'em though! I plan to drive down to Montana to buy a tent trailer and fish a bit as well. I will be with my son and wife probably, so a guide may be out. Any suggestions? Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 Ft. Smith. Bighorn. Boat rentals are 125 bucks a day with free shuttle. Use a SJW and a soft hackle sow bug trailer. Dries use midge or mayfly. Quote
