MikeL Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 My old Hardy Ultralite DD 5000 reel died earlier this year. The spool was bent and rubbing on the frame (probably my fault) and the disc drag system stopped working properly (not my fault). This reel was well used and probably had >500 fishing days on it. I returned this reel for warranty repair in the middle of May and they just shipped me a complete replacement reel. Cost to me was US$35. It is sure nice to have a company stand behind their product and provide excellent customer service. 4 Quote
SilverDoctor Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Nice, fewer and fewer companies stand behind their product. Had a small plate fall out a Hardy reel of mine, they sent a replacement no probleml Quote
FishnChips Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 I had trouble with a brand new, unused for 10+ years Ross Reel (CLA 6). I sent it back this past winter and they absolutely treated me like a king. Communication was superb, I was just so impressed. I have a bunch of Hardy reels, some 50+ years old. To date, no requirements for any service at all. A fantastic array of quality stuff. Quote
