Years ago when Jim Mclennan had his show Iron Blue Fly Fishing where him and his daughter fished a river for cutthroats? Does any one have any ideas or clues where they were fishing, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll give a modest hint (which i could be completely wrong). They own a place on a certain river down south..

That was filmed...what?...10yrs ago? Lotsa "secret" spots back then. *hit, hardly a soul on that most popular of southern cutthroat streams the L'stone till 2001, walked and fished every k of that river in 2000 and seen less than a 1/2 dozen FFers all summer and fall.

Same with the Highwood but now you need a Valet to park your freaking car down there :(

The highwood has always historically been a heavily fished river..... i just think in recent times people have become a little more adventerous and started fishing the canyon section alot more... truth be told i agree that it is one of the most jaw dropping locations in alberta but ive never found the fishing to be all that great. Atleast in the canyon section. If you want to see crowded, go fish Stauffer on a weekend... lol, i can stand passing or meeting people every 30-40min but ive had days on that creek where ive walked for 40min and couldnt find a free pool, had to turn around and try my luck elsewhere

The highwood doesn't compare to the livingstone and oldman...or at least until this year, and i think next is going to be bad...

Good thing is, on all of these rivers, as soon as you start booting ur ass off track, you'll find some free spots

I think that it was at the confluence of the Castle and the Crowsnest. ;)

I fish there all the time but I can't get a quality drift. I can't hold my breath that long.
