Walton Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Had some success on a classic wet fly this weekend - olive body with white duck quill wing. Haven’t had a lot of luck on them up until now. Dressed the wing with floatant - I’m sure that’s a no no - but it worked. Thinking they probably took it as a crippled dun? If there are any frequent fishers of classic wets out there who are willing to offer some advice for fishing themon local waters I’d be grateful for it. Tx Quote

jdangler Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Just go to RIO's How to series. Simon tells you everything you need to know about fishing wet flies. Pretty easy. 1 Quote
SilverDoctor Posted August 24, 2018 Posted August 24, 2018 Fish wets a lot when dries don't work, I don't alway's swing them. I often fish them just under the surface with an upstream cast as I was taught back in the 60's, lots of ways to fish wets. 1 Quote
