DougC Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Looks like a pretty good opportunity. http://www.ab-conservation.com/featured-projects/land/porter-property/ 1 Quote
jpinkster Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 I had a good laugh at some of the replies on the ACA FB post. Apparently the ACA are entirely responsible for destroying the Raven. The more you know! Quote

The more you know! The poster, Don Bester bordered lands administrated by the ACA. They didn't along. And his is full of bull crap. Don 1 Quote
BurningChrome Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how well ACA manages their other sites? Want to know before I consider donating. Quote
Current Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Definitely good to be informed. Much info on conservation site management at the link below including inspection and maintenance reports. http://www.ab-conservation.com/programs/land/projects/conservation-site-management/ 1 Quote
DonAndersen Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Burning Chrome, I, represent Trout Unlimited, along with representarives from the ACA and Alberta F&G administer the lands jointly purchased in the headwaters of the North Raven River (Stauffer Creek). So far we have had agreement on most things. Any disagreement didn't effect the elocgolical intergity of the land/stream. Don. Quote
albertatrout Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Anyone know the asking price? Link? I heard a number but if correct I can not see why the ACA is interested. Edit- google says $11,000/acre, sounds like about double what it should be for conservation dollars to be spent. A lot of resources to secure a small property if that price is accurate no? Quote
