fishteck Posted August 11, 2017 Share Posted August 11, 2017 The provincial government is rolling out the recommendations of an expert committee for improvements to the Bow River water management. See attached link to the press release this morning: https://bowrivertrout.org/2017/08/11/bow-river-water-management-report/ Once implemented, the fishing community should see improvements in the management of the water resource that will hopefully lead to a better managed Bow River fishery. More control of the water release and storage capacity will stabilizes the flows in and downstream of Calgary. Even with the high snow pack in the mountains this year, the current water management policy could not hold back sufficient reserve to meet the current drought conditions.
