Hawgstoppah Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Ok so you guys definately wanna stay away from the long weekend and Im fine with that So we should do it where people can make it on weekdays OR a weekend. So vote... Quote
cheeler Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Monday and Tuesday would probably see the least amount of traffic on the rivers, but most people would come out on a Friday night anyways, if only to set up and have a few beers. Quote
bulltrout Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 lmao...that's funny...everyone wants to stay away from a long weekend but create our own "long weekend"... Quote
EdB Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 i think Rickr allready asked this but is this a wife and kids thing or just us. Maybe we should start a plole as to how many are going to bring whole family. Mine would come if others are coming out. Another thing is are we going to a place that you think will have hookups? EdB Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 i can survive but don't think the wife can. Have to get a geny i guess. Not much point in bringing the trailer if you can't use the fridge/ AC/ COFFEE MAKER... no way she will sleep in a tent Quote
ladystrange Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 could run a really long extention cord from beaver mines?!? why not make if a family affair Quote
LynnF Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Whether or not it's a family affairs is largely dependent on LS right now. The question is: will there be any dancing around campfires "sans chemis"? If so...then the answer is NO And as for hookups....come on you guys, let's rough it. P.S. we'll bring the Honda generator, just in case Quote
ladystrange Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Meh, that only happens around people i actually know very well. we've been doing the winter camping thing for 6 years now. i'll hold off on the copious amounts of booze. at least until the kids go to bed Quote
SanJuanWorm Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I'll be sleeping in the avalanche hotel with a bottle of scotch, bottle of advil and i'll still be in my waders ready for the next day. Quote

We actually have the same plan! I started sleeping in the Avalanche last summer and I love the whole 'laziness' around it. Quote

Guest guito Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Depending which weekend we hold it, I have my accomadations narrowed down to either, back of my truck, driving back to my trailer or going across and crawling into bed with the newly weds!!! Quote
bloom Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 double air mattress, protection from grizzlies, dvd, heat, what else do you need? Hell theres even reading lights. Yup, I even have command start so if I wake up in the middle of the night freezing, just push the button and the heat comes on (truck automatically turns off after 15 min too) Quote
