Medicine Hat Fly Fishing

I am heading to Medicine Hat for Business in a week and I was hoping to bring my gear with me (I'll have nothing else to do). Has anyone fished this area and would be able to point me in the right direction? I haven't fished the south Sask before so I'm not even sure what I'd be targeting

The S Sask holds primarily pike, goldeye, the occasional walleye, and even less occasional sturgeon (though that would be a hoot catching a sturgeon on a fly rod!). There are some stocked lakes within a reasonable distance of there that will get you to some trout, and one QSF in that area.

Bullshead is great, but doesn't fish all that well in the summer. Your best option is to take a drive to Cypress Hills and hit Battle Creek.

Bullshead holds some pretty nice trout not sure how the weeds are there this time of year but definitely a fun lake

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Weeds were really bad. Thought it was almost impossible to fish from shore.
