bloom Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Need a new pair of boots for wet wading and these look good. Any reviews or thoughts from people that own them? Decided it's time to finally toss out my current pair. They will only be used for wet wading...got a different pair for the winter. Quote
Taco Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Being Simms they will most likely be an excellent well designed boot but at $233 and change CND I'll keep using my G3s and 3mm neoprene booties... I'm dutch plus I'm trying to save coin to buy a Lund 1 Quote
bloom Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 Can you find them anywhere for $233 CAD? The US dealers have them for $179 but everywhere I see them so far in Canada is $275? Quote
Taco Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Na I just used Simms online suggested retail and the current exchange rate. $275 huh, think I better take better care of my G3s. Quote
northfork Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Hey bloom,, I can't recommend the freestones enough. Absolutely 100% the best wading boot I've ever owned. 3 seasons out of my first pair (100-120 days) and all that wore out was the felt. 1 Quote
DocMcgillicuddy Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I have a pair and love them. BUT I pay half of what the US MSRP is so take my opinion with a grain of salt. That being said, I hear that next year Simms will have a new wet wading shoe for around $149 might wanna wait for some info on that. 1 Quote
David Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I've been looking at these shoes for awhile and i guess i ll be taking BaetisQuos suggestion and waiting for the shoes. this year ive been using the keen saddles, i feel the are well made, have good toe protection and good traction, the only problem is i constantly get debris under my feet.
