Guys,

Although a whole bunch of us have been told that the process was done, here we go again with another survey.

The ugliest part is the back door attempt to have the only C&R lakes revert to a kill fishery.

Sneaky little suckers. Guess they didn't learn a thing from the last election. Sneaky gets you turfed.

Do one lake or do them all.

Thanks Don for posting the pkg. Please do take the time ,to do some or all. .We did a survey a while back at Beaver,it was nearly unamois for a c& r fishery. This survey asks again, where do these surveys end up.Me thinks it's a case of covering there as es.Keep the public informed. If you note 5 are QSF Waters & the others are not..To the best of my knowledge they havenot offered any ID pictures of these Tigers. You could also email Jim. Wagner@gov.ab letting him know your concerns.I was in favor of all the injection of Tigers to some of our Perch infested trout fisheries.Tigers are very predatory fish, they eat just about anything they can get there mouth around. At a Hook & Hackle club mtg. we invited Craig Copeland the mgr. of the cold lk. hatchery in jan 2015.He said then that the tigers in there facility were 11" approx.,.Putting them at around 14-16" now.Any fall stocking of brown's [ ie Muir],will be expensive tiger food..

Folks,

From two sources below I got emails saying - whoops we made a mistake.

The first copy is from ESRD in Rocky Mtn. Hse.

The second from Jim Wagner

You will see in the Beaver Lake and Ironside Pond surveys, a reference to 1 over 50 cm in the preamble (which I hadn’t noticed), which was included in the wording by mistake and is not a proposed regulation for those lakes as you will see lower down in the survey. Make sure you and those you may have forwarded the link to are aware that both Beaver and Ironside will remain as C&R lakes.

Will sorry for the confusion but there is no intent to change the regulation at existing “Quality Stocked Fisheries” and those with a 0 limit for trout will remain in effect. This was a cut-and paste error that I failed to catch in my review of the surveys. We will be looking to change the regulation at “Harvest” lakes from 5 no size limit to 1 over 50 cm.
