There is a beauty little hike-in lake I try to get to every few years.

After leaving the official trail I have to bushwack for awhile before hooking up with

a faint game trail to reach the lake. So this year I see someone else has found the lake

and they have left a line of flagging (which I took down btw). When I reach the lake

there is almost no sign of fish, which is unusual as the fishing is usually fast and furious

for small cutts. So I'm thinking "who fished out my honey hole lake ?".

Then the culprit shows herself:

I'm blown away, this headwater lake is at 6500 ft. elevation. I've seen plenty of otters

in the B.C. interior, but never up this high.
