No sweat d00de, 30cm of warm June rain, she be gone in 24 hrs à la 1995........ and a few roads, bridges and maybe a dam or two.

Akamina Pass is in Waterton. The snow pack is off the charts at more than 200% of average...850mm water equivalent. or about 28 feet of snow at 1760 meters. It has snowed up high almost daily for weeks.

 

A slow melt will be fine. A fast melt will not be a good thing.

Soooo i guess I won't move my trailer down there any time soon then.

Check the ski reports. Lots more snow predicted this week. Gotta say, as a skier I've loved this season. But there sure is a load of water coming our way!

i'v spent the winter doing lots of mountain sledding , you don't have to worry much about the water flow for the summer , the mountains full of snow

I might want to consider building an ark before June hits with that waterton snowpack. Those mountains just west of me are WHITE... it even LOOKS deep from 35km away.
