fishinglibin Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Good Day FFC folks, I have had for quite some time a Hardys St Aidan reel. Do any of you know anything about it? I have only used it once. I think it is quite old. Any info welcome. Based on Mr. Google they have some value, and I think may have been used for steel and salmon. A bit odd as it is a caged spool, and you cant palm it.Thx Paul Quote
SilverDoctor Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 The St Aidan wasn't one of Hardy's high end reels, it had a lighter frame, not as heavy as the Marquis line (which I like much better). As for salmon/steelhead, it wouldn't be my first choice. The value would depend on size, year and condition. I would need pictures to tell you a value.
