SilverDoctor Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Just a reminder that at certain times of the year we do have closures on some sections of the Bow River and other waters. Please read your Sportsfishing regulations carefully to avoid having legal problems, fines or loss of your license. You should have received the regulations when you bought your license. If not they are free on line here. Here is just one coming up. from Bearspaw Dam downstream to Western Headworks Diversion (W.H.D.) Weir (including the Elbow River below Glenmore Reservoir). CLOSED Apr. 1 to May 31 and Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 Please report a Poacher or illegal activities! Quote
jasonvilly Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Good reminder about the NW section of the Bow which I tend to fish quite a bit. Only 10 days left to fish it. Quote
LastBoyScout Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 These early closers really stink when the season only starts in the middle of July. Bleep the Bull Trout. Quote
acct421 Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks for the headsup. It is a good thing they close that section, I see a lot of browns flopping about there spawning around that time, and in late Sept they are way too easy to catch. Quote
Tungsten Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Also hwy 24 up to the weir, every year i see people fishing there when its closed a simple sign would do wonders. Quote
