ÜberFly Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 What time of year?! I've had great luck with micro leeches and small streamers and in the summer dries (caddis, stimmies, ants, bwos, royal coachman, green/brown drakes, adams [both standard and irresistible], pmds, mosquitos, grif gnats, etc). P whats your top flies for alpine lake trout>? Quote
hairygrump Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 whats your top flies for alpine lake trout>? depends on the time of year. Spring time, I like to use micro leechs & various beadhead nymphs. Summer time, all of the former plus mayflies of all varieties. Fall, I couldn't tell you, I'm on the river. Have a look at Brian Chan's book, probably the best breakdown on lake fishing I've ever seen. Quote
