Guest JayVee Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 ...to finish your heads. I'm talking about your standard run-of-the-mill thread head. Quote
bowbuster Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 shape a short bullet, touch of k glue , few more wraps, whipfinish with tool or by hand then 2-3 coats of diamond coat nail polish. (this what u meant?) Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 i like the wet cahill style with a small pea shaped thread head. but if your going to put 2-3 coats of polish on there i think the kill. i also like to put a bit of dubbing on the last bit of thread while im whip finnishing so you cant see any thread. FraserN Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Between 3 and 5 half-hitches, and then apply nail polish or head cement. I have tied hundreds of flies this way. Works fine. Quote
