headscan Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Don't get to crazy.... Try a Parachute Adams... 14... 16.... 18... Ditto. Last fall I threw every technical BWO fly in my box at some risers without a single sniff. Finally tied on a size 18 Para Adams and got a take on the first cast. Now I always start with the Para Adams and switch to a BWO hackle stacker if that doesn't work. Quote
snuffy Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I'll match the hatch with parachutes and hackle stackers, but if I start getting attitude, I break out the thorax dun - worked like a charm on the Crow yesterday. I love that "better BWO" pattern, simple and doubles as a spinner. Quote
