I as wondering if anybody else has had experience with this. Thanks Quote

jonn Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Three of the saddest words known to man "Replacement Sage tip" don't you mean 3 of the most common Quote
fishpro Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 don't you mean 3 of the most common Perhaps if you replaced "Sage" with "TFO". Quote
bigalcal Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Let me clarify..the tip didn't break, it slipped off and disappeared in the drink so there is no broken section to send in. I'm sure they will replace it for a nominal fee. It's a 4 pce so will my friend need to send the 3rd section in to match colour and ferrule? or just the model#? Quote
headscan Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Just go into your favourite Sage dealer and let them know what happened. I'm sure they've all dealt with something similar before. Either that or contact Sage directly: Questions? Contact Sage Repairs: (888) 848-7243 repair@sageflyfish.com Quote
chiasson Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 I've had great luck myself and have heard nothing but good things about the Sage repair department; they'll take good care of you. My understanding is that if the rod is a relatively recent rod that you can definitely get a new tip without having to wait too long but, since you don't have the broken part they might charge you for a spare tip which I think costs a bit.. but they may not. Give em a call. Quote
