jriad Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Hey Guys, Been a member of AOF for a bit and stumbled upon this site. Nice work. Unfortunately I am a spincaster...... ya ya I know. I got flygear for xmas but the time required to learn is a little more than I can afford right now. I live in the NW and am rying new holes (TO ME ANYHOW) up here wit little success....havent tried the railroad deep run yet though.....I heard the whites are solid there in the winter but I hope to land some trout. Heading out at noon to probably FC to try my luck on some big browns. By what I have seen I think crankbaiters are looked down upon here but w/e. Again nice forum ladies & gents. Quote
ladystrange Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 welcome... if you are interested in learning about fly fishing and fly tying, the Hook and Hackle club is having an open house Feb 24. www.hookandhackleclub.org Quote
Simpson Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Welcome dude. Try fishing the south end of town you may have better results. Not to say there is no fish up north, but more in the south is my understanding. By what I have seen I think crankbaiters are looked down upon here but w/e. Fishin' is fishin' man! As long as you are following the rules and proper etiquette it is your choice how ya land them! Just my opinion though, give that fly gear sometime. Once you get it you won't be disappointed! Quote
Pythagoras Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 It's not the crank baiter dweebs we dislike, it's the jet boat riff raff that gets us going...sheeesh....when will you gear chuckers ever learn....lol...welcome! Quote
SilverDoctor Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 If you are a gentleman on the water, respect teh fishery, follow the regulations, have fun and lend a had to your fellow fishers, you are gold in my books. Quote
