This is an interesting bit.

see History: In 1922, the NHL introduced Rule 56..........
also:
"The NHL averaged twice as many fights during Gretzky's prime with the Edmonton Oilers than it did during the 1970s; some sources credit Gretzky with being a major cause in the statistical rise."
This was the Fort Frances Junior Sabres Fight. Take note of the song playing on the PA system.

(In other words I will poach, hijack, reply within, respond, counter, and or answer any thread I feel like and you can't do anything about it.)
That's close enough to me to kick your ass when you piss someone off here. I might have to start taking reservations.
What job you trying to get in Sherwood Park?
This is a real interesting concept. I can't even imagine what the shock to the electrical system will be when everyone turns their power back on at 9pm.
From an electrical point of view this is a real stupid idea. From an environmental point of view a very good one.
Simple physics. The closer the fish is to the angler the larger the pivot angle becomes, thus the more effect the side pressure will have.
This is what really happens at 100ft. You will have to get the line out of the water to have control.
I'd wait to see from the guys that have recently purchased the Sharkskin to see how it's holding up and to get an indication of how long it will last. Let them take the risk, that way if it turns out to be crap your not out 100 bucks.
Give me a nice day, 20 degrees say, little wind, 18 - 22 inch fish with the odd hog, and I'll be one happy guy. They don't have to be monstrous to enjoy the day. Remember it's fishing, not whaling.
Darren, Doc and I were out there a few weeks ago. There were a couple of guys slicing and dicing their fish right at the garbage can on the warm water outlet. I saw them pack up the fillets and leave.
Unbelievable what an oil spill will do. I'm opening trophy fishery. Can you say 35 lb pike?

So if a guy is coming from Edmonton to fish the dam wouldn't that make one less angler in Edmonton? Or does an angler leave southern Alberta to fish northern Alberta at the same time? The angler distribution is dynamic. There will be times where every Tom, Dick and Harry will be fishing "your" home waters. The number of fisherman in this province has deceased over the last couple of decades. I would say things have thinned out if anything, at least in the northern half.
Your "home" waters are also my home waters. Be careful how you use that term, were not talking about BC here you know. And yes I'm from Edmonton.
