Don't think I've ever seen them near my home in the "deep South" (aka Lethbridge). Maybe I'm just not used to seeing them in small groups, with my frame of reference being the throngs I've seen in Nova Scotia near my in-laws. Excellent piece! I've yet to hit the upper Oldman, but hopefully will get there before the snow. Maybe someday you can show me where you went on this trip.

Played around with it a bit today. Looks like Backcountry is exactly what I`m after, and seems a reasonable price for offline GPS software. Thanks bigdirty! As for Sygic, it looks like good nav software; little confused about the pricing though... one version was free and another was >$100. Cheers lamponius!

Any recommendations out there on GPS software? Hoping to get something for an Android device that I can use offline. Topo would be awesome, but something that can at least do good trails would suffice.
