They certainly look like a decent pair of scissors. Having said that, there are other scissors of similar design already on the market. Keeping your scissors in hand while tying is a definite time saver though, no question.

The New Flyfisher on WFN is another pretty good program.

Ive got quite a few bucks invested in expensive hackle, so proper storage is definitely a consideration. When not in use, I keep mine inside a rubbermaid container. It keeps the pets out of them, and also helps to deter any bugs from taking up residence in the capes and saddles themselves.

Ive had similar experiences on several occasions. Years ago I even had a large bull trout try to steal a Grayling right off a stringer in some skinny water right close to shore.
