  1. That's a sweet looking boat I think that a three person is great but I don't have three people to come with me lol just usually me and the wife. All my friends don't fly fish.Im planning on buying a drift boat in the next year or two or sooner if the right deal comes along.Im thinking floor wise for my project I'm going to go with foam insulation on the bottom the checker plate aluminum on the top or carpeted wood. This boat will only be used for the bow river.14 feet is huge but I think I will get buy or I'll fix it up over winter and sell in the spring.I love the boat in the pic and is certainly ideal.

  2. I'm a welder by trade and this year built a frame for my zodiac two seats and a casting bar anchor system anchors ect.Now I purchased a 14 foot white water raft and its big lol and it is not a self bailer it was smaller in my head and seemed like a good plan.Anyways the plan was to extend the frame and ad another seat and casting bar ect.My questions that are concerning me is.number one is floor being that it's not a self Bailer I have to build one so what would you use aluminum or wood and would you put foam or something underneath the floor?Would that work.Would you cut the thorts out which are the original raft seats or do you think that could cause a strength issue on the sides .Is 14 feet to big for control on the river is it going to be a pain in the ass to move around.Im concerned over these items and might sell or trade and look for a 10 or 12 foot or Jon boat or double pontoon I'm not sure.thanks for reading and appreciate your suggestions.

  3. Got home from a awesome skunking after fighting with the wind all night and a new Rod.I was super frustrated so I threw the Rod in the back seat when I got home I took all my stuff in and my nippers where down stairs so I went to the old lady's makeup bag and she had these fancy nail clippers that are like pliers and kind of come to a "v"at the bottom of them man was I surprised they cut all the flies off like nothing and with the "v" part you can get right to the eye either hers are going to missing or I'm going to find them at shoppers.I wish I could post pics of them but I can't. she said they use them at the nail salon that's why she bought them and she said she paid 15 $ check them out if you can there awesome.just a FYI

  4. Love the line as well it helps with mending a lot as you can see the drag a little better with the hi viz section I have even put on a streamer and it's just the same as streamer fishing with a dry line.

  5. Stupid lazy people drive out and leave there *hit everywear it's stupid and disrespectful to other river users. Now look what the bull did they tryed to block off everybody from using the ramp.If your that frigging lazy you can't walk 50 dam yards to the river then stay the hell on your couch and leave the outdoors to the respectful people who want to use it.I live in Lynwood and will call every single time I see a jack ass parked there it pisses me off.

  7. Snooze it was boring.Same old same old maybe a couple more lady's but the same as every year the best part was leaving. They need way more exhibitors more stuff to look at ect the one isle on Thr north side you ask your self why you even walk down it.After further thought I guess everyone could have been still a sleep when we were there maybe there was some more hustle and bustle later in the morning but I still think they could use some more stuff and I actually wished the drift boats were at the back cause I want to get one this year assuming I still have a job.

  8. Broken Simms wading staff--Free to anyone who wants it.

Took a spill on a wet slippery streamside grassy bank on the Deschutes R. this October. Top section of the staff broke in two near the locking eyelet hole that is close to the top of the staff. The lower 3 or 4 folding portions are OK. Possible that someone with welding skills might be able to repair it. It comes with a sheath, but not with the retractor and clip which I have transferred to a new staff that I purchased in the US.

Let me know if you want it. I can leave it at my workplace for pick up.
