  2. Sweet lookin ties..
  3. Nice ties.. those look killer! As for the Gorilla glue there should be a number on the bottle to call and get the specs of it. Most manufacturers put a contact number or email for questions and concerns.
  4. Nothing is comming around when you have kids in tow! lol! With my years of experience of being in the wilderness never had to use bangers or spray.. So as long as you make yourself heard!
  5. Thanks for the warning. I'll be sure to check the reports before I take off! I don't want to get caught in a situation!
  6. I'm located in the Edmonton area.
  7. Where is the best place to catch yellow perch while ice fishing in Alberta? I have a couple of spots but was wondering if anyone could point me toward another direction. I would greatly appreciate any help. Many thanks in advance, ~Kristi
  8. Ha-ha, Very interesting particularly from my perspective... to see /read on both side of the rod! lol.. But I do have to say that I've not been a long timer with F/F but do have some great respect on and for the cane rod. I use graphite cause I have to ATM but hopefully by the time I'm seasoned and ready I'll have a cane rod too. But before that happens...Kids first. Maybe by then I'll have restored my Great great great grandfathers cane rod with a little help from a dear friend! Right Don??he-he ~Kristi
  9. Tinsel wont go far it is not as versatile at the hackle.. unlike the hackle it cant be put under extreme heat and is not as sturdy. It will be to finiky and static will be an issue. I do see a lot of shorter feathers now in hair. not just the long hackle. Funny as it sounds coming from a stylist, yes it is totally frustrating and pissing me off as I can't tye any drys with out it.. ~Kristi
  10. Thanks guys, great suggestions. I'll have to investigate further on several ideas I saw here. Hawgs; that tool looks dangerous. Does it hurt when you stabb yourself? lol. I'm sure it isnt that dangerouse looking in hand... well i hope it isnt.. Kristi
  11. I have been known to use Zap-A-Gap for my fly line to leader either with a splice or loop is there any other products out there that one could recomend or suggest?, or is there another way i could be doing all this? I know there is ..
  12. I find I use several diffrent knots for diffrent conditions and purposes. My goto atm is the Surgeon's shortcut. Pulling tags usually results in disaster for myself. And I use lip balm to lube my knot before pulling tight. is there any other ticks or suggestions to other knots out there I could try, particularly in cold weather like this? Thanks again ~Kristi
  13. Wow thanks for the tips and links.. I’ll be sure to check it out. I guess I am just curious to see what everyone else is using out there.. And if there is something I am completely and totally unaware of when it comes to knots.. Thanks everyone who has posted and that may post.. ~Kristi to all
