  1. Two alternatives are tungsten and lead free wire.
  2. Being that Lady strange gave us the odd lateral line..... I think she should tie the first prototype ....what do you think? AC...... pick someone to start a new fly please.

  5. You can do that too that way we are both happy
  6. If this is to be used for something in future one must know what it is exactly...........not saying this is goingto bre used for anything.......you'll just have to wait and see.

  14. That is still undecided as of now but I'm sure these will be tied in some way shape or form.
  15. I have to replace Dark Side it went missing. You just reminded me of Glimour's About Face which is excellent too. When I take a bit of a break I'll pick up my bass and play abit .
  16. I hear you on the watching a movie thing....glad my tying room is not big enough for a tv.
  17. I'm doing some tying this afternoon and this question pops into my mind. What does everyone have going on for background noise while tying if anything? I myself load the cds of my 3 favourite albums from Pink Floyd; The Delicate Sound of Thunder, The Division Bell and Pulse.
  18. Doc now you need to pick who adds the next part of the fly.
  19. Brent are you some what of a mind reader?
  20. I seen this somewhere and thought it would be neat to try it here; the results could be interesting. I'll start with a component for the fly and then designate the next person to add the next component to the fly, the next person adds the component and then designates the next contributor and so till the fly is done then we start the next fly. So to start off I'll pick the hook to build on. Daiichi 1250 # 12 I pass on to Silver Doctor
  21. I use curved hooks mainly as an emerger hook; the 3906 and 3906B are great standard nymph hooks. It's the gape that affects your hookups most I believe and the 3906 is a round bend and has a decent gap in it's gape. Limerick bends I would stay away from as they seem to be narrower in the gape.
  22. The required addition part is an opinion, but if you want to get the most out of the Nor, the automatics help you do that. If you have not seen the demo videos at the Nor-vise site I recommend taking a look and that should give you a better idea of why that required addition statement exists. I know I only use regular bobbind for wire and floss but auto only for thread. Hope this helps somewhat.
  23. If you can afford and justify both then by all means go for it. You are the one that can make the final call on that one.
  24. This is one way but it's not really necessary to do the wire frame bit to the same extent. http://www.charliesflyboxinc.com/flybox/de...cfm?parentID=81
