Winter Blues, confessions of my wandering mind Last night I bought some foam and tied a few Chernobyl Ants with dropper loops. So sitting at my desk wishing I was tying flies or fishing instead of working I decided to tie a Hopper Dropper ” in a virtual environment” and since I was working with PowerPoint I used it as my medium rather than my mind which has a overwhelming tendency to wander. And since I am at work I thought if I keep this up I am going to be terminated so I better come up with a viable income solution in the event I join the ranks of the unemployed. PPPHD Commercial Note the exquisite attention to detail in the side, top and bottom views with 100% conformity to scale and texture. This is a culmination of minutes of thought, inspiration and pure plagiarism. Visualize the beauty of its form and function as it works both as a strike indicator and as a delicious enticement to world class trophy sized trout, pike, panfish, bass and rising ling cod. All PowerPoint Polar Hopper Droppers are guaranteed to have shoddy whip finishing and extra super glue blotches. Additionally all PPPHD ® come with a “You paid how much for that” certificate of authenticity. Pre-order yours now before the rush. $39.95 each (that’s cheaper than Abel’s Nippers and you have an equal chance of catching a fish with it) as a pre-order introductory special. Feel confident and superior knowing your fly box is fortified with the technology of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003,Dell computer technology and the passion and world class craftsmanship of Badcaster. The first 20 orders will be signed and numbered! Anyhow I will be trying to tie one up tonight and I will see which is worse… this post or my fly.

Don't get a Subaru! Get a Mitsubishi! It makes winter roads fun! Subarus are okay too.... but you won't be styling like you would be in a Mitsu

Tube Fly Systems-a Discussion Of The Pros And Cons Of Each
Timo replied to Flytyer's topic in Fly Tying Bench
I will be looking with keen interest as this thread (hopefully develops) Cheers -
I recommend this... It is small enough and packs a big wallop heck it can even fire off .410 shells and perchance you run into a grizzly situation the 45/70 caliber will do the trick. Plus if you reload and up it to a 400+ grain bullet any birds in the near vicinity fall dead from just from the concussion. Other than that there are some .22 cal Shotgun combos you can find used on the gun forums that might fit the bill. If your a plinker I would get your FAC and go .22 rimfire. The PAL is not hard to get and courses are always available. Challenge the course is also a great option if you have firearms experience. Get the book read go take the test (paper and practical) Try crappy tire on McLeod Trail they have a decent selection of guns

The Fan 960 seems to think so as they are having April Vokey as a guest today.

Yup I was using one of those plastic fastner organizers but... so I ran out at lunch and picked that unit up. It looks good enough for my needs. I am looking forward to reorganizing tonight!

Yes it looks better than what I currently use

Is fly fishing a sport? In a word YES...why? Consider… -There is physical exertion to the point of exhaustion -There is a constant struggle to win -There is athletic and acrobatic motion and movements -The biggest and the best champions are often put on a pedestal -There are uniforms and/ or team colors -There is struggle against opposing foes -There is constant competition -There is risk of injury even loss of life -It occurs globally -It has a large following So I put forth that YES Fly Fishing is not only a sport but an EXTREME SPORT …………………………. for the fish.

Felt Boots To Be Banned In Montana
Timo replied to Harps's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
I picked up the "new" Korker Chromes they have the improved replacable soles that now cover the whole sole area. It looks like it will be a workable option for me and I found the soles easy to put on and off with no deviation in fit. Only time will tell on durability. But take what I say with a grain of salt as my fishing footware has consisted of size 10 runners since jebus rode horseback -
Thanks. I like yours as well and I bet the fish will too!

Simple really... I modifyied a DNA Clouser Back two flies I used White DNA for the upper mixed with a few Flashabou strands with 3 peacock herls on the very top Bottom I used Smoke DNA with some blue crystal flash mixed in and then I attached some red marabou to make gills. For the one in the foreground I used White DNA with flashabou then some Smoke on top of it, Bottom is crystal blue flash only and again some red marabou for the gills. Attach fish skulls as per directions on the package Thread: White Waxed nylon Hook: Any streamer hook this was a Mustad #4 9672 Fish Skulls: Medium chartreuse These flys tie up really quick and the fish skulls wrap everything up neatly. Make sure you have some superglue.

Knocking off the rust of over 10+ years of not tying. I saw these new fish skulls and I had to try them out. Laughing is allowed. I also made some Zonkers with the Fish Skulls. The only trouble I had with them was glueing down the eyes. (Too small for my old eyes) Cheers

Steward of the environment...of course it does not hold the romance of Treasure of the Sierra Madre but just think if you go to Saskatchewan you could hit the mother load in Plisner!

Where does it end? The word "queen" can be interpreted as derogatory as well. But it's all for the greater good right? -
More lucrative to collect discarded beer and pop cans along the ditches me thinks.
