  1. good eye Dustan just call the report a poacher line next time you see that and hopefully they will bust him. just outta curiousity it looks like he left the rig there in his flight did you pull that dead line in so no fish get hooked?

1-800-642-3800 is the report a poacher line I believe

  2. yes I would have to add a running line...... think I might opt for this one as I am pretty sure it has a built in running line

Scientific Anglers Mastery™ Spey Shorthead Multi Tip ........ its a shorthead so it should be a skagit style line right?

  3. Yeah TM I read your suggestions in the other thread for lines that you had that would cast well on my new rod and I appreciate the suggestions but I have been looking at the spey skagit deluxe with tips from SA...... think that would be a good choice for me? I remember you saying that the skagit lines would likely be good for the big streamer type fishing I will be wanting to do this fall...... I will likely pick up some other lines next year for fishing the other presentations and dries ect but for a good streamer tossing line would you and spey ghillie reccomend this line or another one? Just looking and now I am not sure if this is a full line or just the head......I thinh its just the head with tips which would mean I need to add a shooting line as well eh?

  4. Found it it was not the single spey but the snake roll..... although I have now seen two diffferent casts called a snake roll..... either that or I am confused.

the very last vid on the bottom right single handed snake roll.... Love that cast.....

I also really like the running T and and the one where you go up, left, up, right accross your body anchor to your right side sweep the D loop

  5. yeah its ordered..... i like the other stream dance rods I have casted including shorter metolius's that I have tried but I have never had the luxury of casting this specific model....... should be a good week if all goes as planned I get a brand new 10ft streamdance glx back from warranty and a brand new metolious trout spey....... and after a few weeks with the crappier rods I feel I have improved my casting stroke. You say a great dry line spey have to admit thats lingo I don't know.......

Also what is the cast where at full dangle on the river with your right hand side being the downriver side you sweep the rod tip (starting low tip pointed downstream) backwards up and around fully once so the line make a huge loop and anchors just in front of you. meanwhile you have continued the first total loop into the D loop of the cast............ I really wish I could describe that better LOL. I hadn't seen that one before but it popped out tonight while I was mucking around and its a pretty sweet cast....... does it have a name?

  6. yeah i take about 3 to 5 1.5-2 inch strips of brown or red worm chenille and attach to a hook usually a size2 or 4 swj hook basically in a clump singe the ends to give em that tapered wormy look boom boom worm cluster...... worked pretty well this spring........

  7. SD nailed it thats the mountain experience..... my last few trips to BC have been crapshoots as well but just like your local waters you get to know the far and away places better everytime you return...... The maligne is a lot of fun but it is a pretty technical creek...... I sometimes fish those deep fast runs even with dries , or work the seams...... the seams are where you find fish on this river the most with the exception of some of the pools..... fish holding seams can be kinda tough to recognize on this river though and it takes some practice....... I remember being back to a bank with a majorly fast rapid about 8 feet wide directly in front and just by dabbling the fly on the other side of the rapid on the slightly slower water and catching about 15 fish over a 20 foot stretch of river..... most were small mind you but the big ones will surprise you sometimes.......

  8. Kev

pretty sure SJW is just getting an idea for what sort of demand there is and what sort of products we would want...... by the sounds of it hoodies tees and hats, stickers and decals seem to be the top of the list. We know he will produce something reflective of the site and that is nice so we are just sorta preemptively giving the orders we will likely make once the products are available.....(atleast I think thats what we are doing) AS for pricing I would imagine its gonna be reasonable but I really have no clue......

  9. Where do yo usually icefish in the winters? I like to get out once in a while on spray lakes but honestly I hate that wind up there and I am not one for being stuck in a shack......so instead I often I spend hours wandering the upper bow looking for a fishable section..... Usually all I find is cold feet and a drastic shortage of open river...... but it kills some time when I am not boarding or working.

Anyways I am always game to go flyfishing or otherwise with just about anybody who asks but afternoons are not great as I don't live in the city and I am not usually inclined to drive in unless I have a whole day...... but if you want company on icefishing trips this winter let me know as I would be interested in fishing some new waters

  10. Bow river- 2 of them -float it again- and be able to increase my distance casts to enable me to fish all that awesome structure on the far bank on the middle and upper bow....... need to be able to consistantly make 60-100 foot casts...... with no backcast AND still be able to set the hook which I can do already but it usually requires the 10 step hookset step 1 set hook steps 2-10 - run backwards trying to keep the pressure on

Cutty streams--I'd love to be able to get dropped at the farthest point up that I have been able to walk and wade a certain stream in one day and walk the next 6-8 kms of what I imagine is basically untouched water....

Stillwaters-- better technique-- develop more consistent retrieves, depth control, and learn the more subtle uses of different sink rate lines.... and develop some patience.
