    Just got back in town and received the sad news. Still remember going to the original 37 Street SW location (has limited money at that time) dreaming in owning those Hardy and Orvis CRO reels.

    Have attended the Denver Fly Fishing shows and various other ones in the past. The show in Calgary during the weekend of the 23rd was the poorest one I ever attended. There seems to be a lack in attendance of fly fishing manufacturers. Retailers blowing-out old stock does not constitute a show.

    I would strongly recommend you head to either Fish Tales or Bow River Troutfitters in Calgary. They have qualified people who can fit you with the appropriate equipment to get more enjoyment out of fly fishing. It may be a good idea to ask about the various fly fishing classes the offer.
