  1. I beleve they are called Zander. About the pike pic, its quite old and definetly not from Canada, prob holland the name on the jacket says orgski bojorgski, so who ever speaks that can correct me. I dont think the two pictures are even realated, the fish dont look the same. But anyway cool catch none the less.

    Burbot Pics

Never caught a Burb, do they fight well? I presume they like deep holes and other fishes. I have caught a sucker though on the bow last year on a streamer, it was a bit strange but a nice change. Lol that rhymes. Cheers.
  3. This is the best movie I saw all year, you have got to see it in 3D
  4. Dont think anyone was really out Flyfishing much the last two weeks or so, but Who's going fishing Tomorow? It looks like there is a break in the cold weather finally, How many eager fisherman are going to hit the river? hope we can all find some decent water open for all of us to fish. I know ill be out there too. good luck and tight lines Seb
  5. My most memorable fish of the year has to be my biggest brown i have caught to date. It also happens to be the first time I tried night fishing on the bow. It was in late July and it had been pritty slow afternoon even with tonz of caddis swarming water untill the sun when down. That first hour after sundown was magical, the river suddenly came alive and there were fish rising everywhere and right close to the bank. For anyone who has never tried night fishing it is so intense, your sence of hearing becomes sharp and you are blind casting to hungry trout in the dark. Well anyway I caught this 24" brute on a #16 elk haired caddis around 10:30pm, along with around 14 others that night it was an unforgetable night.
  6. I fish the bow on average once or twice a week. How much harder do i have to try?, it will happen one of these days!! though i dread the day it does happen.
  7. I just picked up fly fishing this year, took the begginer fly fishing class with Country Pleasures and was on my way. Thanks to that class, and reading some books on reading water ect, plus some great vids on Youtube (thanks Humblefisherman), i have had an unbelievable first year fishing the bow. At first nymphing was all i could do, but gradually i experimented with dry's, and seem to enjoy both. Have never been skunked yet, but i imagine fly fishing may get tougher in winter? As for places, Fish Creek is apopular place for flyfishers but i feel it gets to much prssure Southland can be good but it is underconstuction right now HW 22X bridge and HW 2A are my favorate places to fish, u may need to walk a little to find some good water. Hope this helps im still a fly fishing newbie too let me know how you do Troutfisher01
